Thanks Guys

it was just a pre mock up its 2 shirts sorry i forgot to mention left is front and right is back of the shirt....

Comments , Ideas welcome...Not sure if pushingtin will allow this but maybe we can work to a proposal and see what is said.  Will be pretty cool if we can add some brands on the shirts just to give it a bit more of a sporty look but we will need to get permission for using brands logos

Maybe Something Different, Long Sleeve for the cold mornings?

Colours can differ to brand or model you use...or your outfit of choice, Custom Names... Logos, Sponsors

Too busy for me. I would prefer something simpler. I like the long sleeves though

Great job Stevo!

Love your creations  :)!

The T-SHIRT I put in my  post  yesterday was something I put quickly together,to kick off the creativity of other members.
It would be great if some (T-) shirt came out of my original idea!
Again, great creations Stevo.
Love it!!!

Oooh very cool idea guys!

I really like the designs and effort put out there. Personally I think we should leave sponsors out and just create our own branded shirt.

Will think a little more about the logistics of doing something like this.

Your doing a great job on them (T) SHIRTS Stevo!!!
Personally, I like the first ones, with blue and green the best.

What design do you guys like the best so far?

Steve - why dont u try designing something at www.logosportswear.com, it will give you a 3D model of your design plus you can choose from a host of tshirt / jackets etc. Will also give us an estimate of how much it will cost.
Title: Re: Treasure Hunters T-SHIRT

Template used is from a manufacturer in JHB, They normally charge about R380 per shirt. it as a sublimation dye that they print on the material and then sew it up.  The shirts are a very high quality with some breather holes which means it will be  cool during summer even tho it is a long sleeve and then also warm during colder days.   There is plenty of manufacturers that have different types of shirts from short sleeve, longsleeve, race shirts like a silky breathable material to help not to sweat so much and then like a pit/golf collar shirt.  Will all depend on what you all would prefer Maybe should do a design on a long sleeve and short sleeve with collar + optional normal t-shirts with some funnies (i like to dig, Eat sleep dig ....etc)

Brainstorms are needed.

Ok thanks Steve... I am quite happy to leave this all in your hands, if you happy to take care of the logistics and allow people to order from you directly.

I would like to see (if you dont mind) the first design you did (the green version), except change the green to a grey. Change the red text to a yellow text and if possible, on the front, change the font to the same font we got on the forums. (So the "TREASURE HUNTERS" text in yellow and same font on forums). I think that will be more neutral colours rather and avoid the fact that some prefer blue, some prefer green.

Just my thoughts, but we will put it up to a vote on a poll for the final design.

That latest design is actually pretty cool, I like it a lot - great skill stevo! :) (Esp the 2nd top)

I think at the back of the tops though, you should stick to the original text of "TREASUREHUNTERS.CO.ZA" so if a complete stranger sees you detecting and you peak his/her interest, they at least know where to come and look to find out more.

In fact, I would say leave out the "Treasure Hunters" text in the front all together, might look good just having the 3 detectorists on the front and the back can have the text.

My 2cents worth... but great job!

Title: Re: Treasure Hunters T-SHIRT
Post by: Chris Twine on May 22, 2014, 08:02 PM
Alternatively, if you want to keep the text in front, maybe drop it to below the 3 detectorists? All depends on which design you end up with whether to keep the text or not but I think the text over the detectorists just looks too busy.

Designed it on an american site. All prices in dollars and works out to over R600 per tshirt!

I am trying to get this design to local printers to see what the cost would be. None of them being really helpful thus far though...

Hi Fishless

Thanks but thats one of the issues I am having with the local guys. The only artwork I have is the guy metal detecting. The rest was just text, fonts and colours I used from the american site.

Another reason, is the tshirt is a higher quality than standard cotton cheapie - and it already had the green stripes on the front.

"The Torrent Tech Tee is constructed of 100% Moisture Wicking Cool Mesh Polyester, a performance fabric that keep you cool and dry".

I didn't want a standard cotton tshirt.

I was assuming that if I sent the local guys the detecting pic plus the design I made, they would be able to replicate to a degree - but obviously not.

Title: Re: Treasure Hunters T-SHIRT

For the tshirts I designed on the american site, roughly R620 per tshirt for any order less than 12 items.

If we get an order of 12 or more, the cost reduces to R550 per tshirt.

If we get an order of 24 or more, the cost reduces to R500 per tshirt.

Guys send me the artwork, I can give you much better prices... The quality will be exactly the same, there's single, double or triple knit... Based on the price I'm sure they are supplying triple knit.

Local shop did these for me,owner can also do golf shirts and jackets, price very reasonable....

The material used is called 'heatflex' a digitally printable vinyl that is heat transferred onto the shirt... Quick, cheap and relatively easy, the only draw back is that within a few months the print will fade to completely to white and graphic will become illegible... The advantage however is that you can make 2 shirts only instead of printing 20 or 50 of...

Designed one - but works out too expensive to be viable!

Front, sides and back

Just consider that by using heatflex, the prinitng will no last... The lifespan of heatflex is approximately 18 months if you are lucky... The ideal solution is screen printing, but only orders above 20 are cost effective.

Good morning all,

Right so I found all the artwork necessary to generate artwork and I've given everything through to one of my graphic artists to 'mess' with... I've also found a few other logo's and pic's which I feel could also be used, possibly a range of t-shirt designs... Give me a few hours and I'll post the designs...

Looks good, but on the side of the arm, must say Metal Detecting South Africa (Not Detection) and on the back, I like the second one but remove the "Metal Detection" and move the 'Coil to the soil' a little higher up. Keep the South Africa, back right.

As for the cap

Keep it simple, just the pic on front and on the back "TreasureHunters.co.za" web address at the back (I know on the pic the address is wrong)

There has to be a balance struck between whats practical while digging (dark colour for the dirt/stains/etc.) versus how hot it's going to be and what is effective from a signage point of view... White is clearly out of the question.

Let me know and I can affect the artwork accordingly...
